Pulling Machine

Pulling Machine

A tried and tested design, Pulling Machines are used for the pulling, whitening and aeration of both hard and soft candy masses. to change the bite or "crunch" when eating, as well as change the appearance and colour.

It has three arms, one is stationary while the other two revolve around it. The arms are covered in nylon so the candy batch doesn’t stick to them. The machine itself has guards surrounding the working arms.

Rope Sizer

Rope Sizer

A Candy Rope Sizer forms the batch of candy into a consistent rope, which is often necessary for feeding the candy into the next stage of the manufacturing process.

The rope will be fed in from either an extruder machine or batch roller. The batch is then passed through several sets of solid brass rollers. This forces the candy into a rope of accurate and consistent diameter. From this point onward a multitude of confectionery types can be produced. The sized rope can then be fed onto the next stage of processing, for example, before moving on to the cutting and wrapping process.

Batch Roller

Batch Roller

Batch Roller is used to form a confectionery batch into a continuous rope, so it can then easily be worked into a final product. Many production lines start with one of these machines and it plays a key role in the making of many types of confectionery products.

The rollers rotate the candy into a cone shape, the end of which is stretched to form a rope. Rock candy, candy canes, die formed soft chews and more can be produced from this candy rope depending on which machine follows the batch roller in the production line. The batch roller can also play a key role in many hand made candies.
